A war has been waged against our community. In the wake of the devastating passage of Prop 8 in California, a revitalized movement has arisen, and hundreds of Grassroots organizations have sprung up to fight for Equality. Equality Army is comprised of all individuals and groups fighting for full equality for the LGBT Community (Yes, that means YOU!) Our aim is to create visibility for the movement by establishing a unified presence, with the primary goal of partnering with Grassroots groups to help fund their efforts.
Equality Army is not about militant rebellion against our oppressors, but about fighting for our civil rights in the courts, the legislature, the community, the bars, and the streets. Equality Army encourages members of our community to get involved with the Equality Movement, to come out of their closets and out of the gay ghettos, and to have fun while we’re doing it.
